DATAONE was established in 2000 by Keppel T&T, an affiliate of Keppel Group, the multi-billion dollar Singapore Company. DataOne was part of its strategic thrust into the Datacenter and IT services area, and was primarily conceived as a Tier 3 commercial data center hosting facility. The world-class facilities are securely located at the IBM Plaza located in Eastwood City IT Park, Bagumbayan, Quezon City.
Since inception, DataOne has made substantial investment in building up its infrastructure, enrich its human and process skills and has established itself as the leading data center and provider of high end managed services in the Philippines. Its fully equipped high-tech infrastructure supports a wide range of businesses in all industry sectors.
DataOne Asia prides itself in hiring and retaining the best people. Though a relatively young company, many of its staff has gained earlier experience with leading multinational banks, and IT, telecom, BPO and consulting service companies, and thus bring ready expertise to the organization.
In 2002, Finacore Technology Finance and its parent company, Alcyon Holding acquired 80% of DataOne Philippines from Keppel in order to support the expansion of the company in the Philippines. DataOne has earned the trust of the most demanding global organizations including foreign banks, large Philippines enterprises, global software development companies, financial services companies among others.
In 2004, DataOne expanded with the acquisition of the computing services of T-System Philippines that provides data center, outsourcing and desktop support services. T-System Philippines was a former division of the Deutsche Telekom Group.
In 2007, DataOne applied for and was granted a voice over internet protocol (VoIP) franchised by the National Telecommunication Commission (NTC) allowing the company to operate as a Carrier. The company then launched a service under the brand VoiceOne. It acquired the VoIP SIP-based platform in 2007, which allowed it to interconnect with any carrier worldwide, either via Internet Protocol (IP) or ISDN.
In 2011, DataOne launched its CloudSecure service, a cloud service that offers Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS) and Platform as a Service (Paas).
